Vinted: Seller underpaid postage
Comments

Just to give you an end to this saga, the seller got pretty nasty in her messages. She kept insisting that it wasn’t her fault that her postage label wasn’t sufficient. I suggested she refund, and let the jumper come back to her but she refused and said she wouldn’t be talking to me any more.
At this point, Vinted stepped in, and said that if I sent proof I’d paid Royal Mail the £3.50, they’d deduct it from the balance due to her. I sent proof, and within ten minutes, they’d acted on it. They operate an escrow system, and payment is only released once the buyer confirms receipt. £3.50 was deducted from the credit she was due. Given what I paid for the jumper and P&P, she’s going to walk away with 80p for this sale.
It’s been my first bad experience on Vinted, and I’m going to be an awful lot more cautious about who I buy from if I go back.As always, thank you to you all for your thoughts. Much appreciated.© Cuilean 2005. Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental.5 -
Glad you got the right outcome. After my experience I definitely won't be using Vinted again.
