Car Accident - Fake injury claim

Hello
Last night I was in a collision sitting in a queue of traffic, the car in front moved but stopped suddenly and I didn't stop in time so bumped the car. We pulled over I asked if he was ok and he said he was fine. I took photos of both cars and gave him my number, he took no details at all from me or any photos. He even helped me unscrew my reg as it had knocked the screw out on one side. Today he messaged to say he had been to A&E and has had to take time off work. There was no way I hit him at speed as we were in a queue of traffic and had no injuries or trouble moving to bend and take my reg off. I feel his claim is definitely unjust, What should I do?!

Just make sure your insurers have your side of the story and let them deal with it.2

Whiplash may well not show up till the following day. You really have no way of knowing if it's a genuine claim or not at this stage although you may have a strong suspicion it could be a crash for cash - that's down to insurers to decide what to do.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Unless you have a dashcam or an independent witness and can prove it was a deliberate start/stop then leave it with the insurance, they won't bother paying to fight it unless there is evidence of fraud, the driver you hit is quite within their rights to claim for injury off you even if you think it wasn't a big bump0

Is he claiming for damage to the car? If he's claiming for personal injury but not for significant damage to the car that's immediate suspicious.
