PiP - does it affect Child Benefit

Hi,
I have a disabled son who is 19 and lives with my ex. Unfortunately we do not have a good relationship. She claims that she no longer receives Child Benefit.
I'd like to understand the financial situation but as my ex looks after my son's money for him (as he has no understanding of money etc.) I do not have the right to speak with the "benefits office".
The question is whether if PiP is being claimed for my son, is his mother eligible for Child Benefit?
Thanks,
R

The two are not linked.
Each have separate criteria and eligibility.
Have a google of gov.uk for CB eligibility information.
(At 19 - your son is no longer a child)

In a previous thread the son was still a student (July 2022) which means child benefit could still be continuing. It can be paid up until the day before their 20th birthday if they remain in FTE.If the son is still going to be attending residential college in September, after 28 days the PIP will stop being paid if the fees are funded from public funds, as advised in the other thread.Thread here. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6369135/disabled-adult-son-access-to-pip/p1
