Car insurance - delivering food (not takeaways)

Hi all,
Can someone give me a rough idea of how much extra the cost of car insurance might be, when you add on cover for delivering food please?
For context, my husband is considering a part time job delivering meals for a charity at lunchtime (not takeaways) and we're wondering if the extra cost of insurance will make it worthwhile or not.
Thanks

I think that will depend on how the insurance co treats this sort of driving. The fact that it's part time may make a difference.
I think the easiest thing to do would be to go on to a comparison site in the first instance and see what happens to a quote if you add business use. If it doesn't look too bad then you'll need to actually talk to your insurance company. And bear in mind that there is likely to be a fee (?? £60 ???) for changing the policy mid term.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. He's spoken to current insurer (Tesco) & they won't cover it at all. I think from further googling it's called 'hire & reward' rather than just business use.1 -

Its too niche a subject to be on the aggregator sites so far so:
1) Chat with a local broker to get you some indicative quotes, there aren't many direct to market offerings in this space
2) Chat with the charity, it is possible to buy top up policies where you insure the vehicle normally for your SDCP/Business use and their policy covers you only for your Hire & Reward use. They may already have such arrangements or be willing to consider it.
