Heads up, compers! In order to investigate a technical issue, we've had to move some of the older threads from Game Over into a new category called 'Game Over Archives'. It'll be comps from before 2017, so shouldn't have too much impact on your day-to-day Forum experience. Thanks for your patience!

    Hi Chrissymac44, and welcome.

It's a hard question to answer, because it depends on what competitions you do/don't want to enter and which system you want to use. Some (like me) work through the competitions working from the oldest posted to the newest at the top of the board. Others 'end date', meaning they enter competitions as they get near to when they will end.

I would suggest that a good starting place would be to read this guide: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4896515/new-compers-please-read-competition-board-useful-links#latest

Have a look there at different ways to sort the board. It will help you to work out which comping method you might prefer.

If it's all too confusing, you could just scroll through the Competition Time board, entering any that stand out for you. That would give you a general 'feel' for the board and perhaps some thinking time to see what the board has to offer. Here's the link for that: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/categories/competitions-time.

Last point is, don't count on winning lots, or too soon. For most of us wins are scarce, these days, but it's such a lovely feeling when you do win.

    Good luck

Your pompous attitude and condescending comments have convinced me that you are very smart and important, said no one ever.
