Yesterday i ordered an iphone 13 from Argos and paid for same day delivery.
The phone arrived about 8.30pm. So excitedly i set it up, when done I checked the available storage i noticed the phone stated it was an iphone 11. I checked the box and in tiny letters on the back, it did say iphone 11. So i wiped it and packaged it all back up.
Took the day off work and travelled to the nearest town and waited outside Argos at 9am. after talking to the customer services, the manager got involved. She informed me as it had been opened they wont swap it for the correct phone and i had to call customer services instead.
I called customer services and they told me they could not overule the manager and sorry, theres nothing they can do.
Anyone have any ideas where i turn next? Thanks in advance.

You will need to keep pushing Argos over this. Make it clear it was only apparent it was the wrong phone after you had turned it on and noticed XYZ, so now want it exchanged for the correct phone.
Does the serial number match that of what they sent? Ask them to check this.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -

I'm not an Apple fan but each generation of the phone does tend to have some obvious features that are obvious without turning on, or even without removing protective film / unboxing. Quite often, Apple phones have a picture of the phone on the box front.
If I was buying a £700 - £800 phone, I am sure I would know enough about the product to know what the stand out features were and immediately spot if they were not present.1 -
Most of the differences between the 11 and the 13 are internal - CPU differences etc, so not visible. The camera lenses are in a slightly different configuration, but that'd hardly stand out unless you specifically looked for it.1

@Bigdaddygrumps - if they sent you a different model 'phone from the one you ordered (check your order confirmation) then it does not conform to contract and it doesn't matter that you've opened it and turned it on. (Tell them it only became obvious to you once you had set it up).
You are entitled to a full refund or a replacement. You can quote the law to them from here: Consumer Rights Act 2015 (legislation.gov.uk) In particular quote s11 (goods to be as described). Remedies in s19
(NB - If you bought it on the internet you have to sort it out with Argos on the internet. You can't just turn up at any Argos store. You have to deal with the specific Argos entity you bought it from.)0 -
Surely the difficulty is proving that the wrong item was sent - there are some people who might claim a mistake was made fraudulently.
Was the box not sealed prior to opening? I cannot see how the wrong phone was in the box if it was sealed.0 -

the OP didn't check the box before he proceed to set up the phone.

Regardless though, the OP has received the wrong item. It’s pretty hard to miss on iPhones as there is usually no model written on the front of the box. Only the back of the box. You would expect to receive what you paid for. It’s a moot point as to what they’ve done with it in such a short space of time. Of course, enforcing your rights with Argos is another matter.0

Does your comply with
Unused and with all parts • In its original packaging (with the tags if applicable) • In a resaleable condition • With its proof of purchase •
If so, make a return online stating that the wrong item has been delivered.0 -

It's not quite so easy to fix and they need to keep at them, via social media if needs be until they renege.
