Your Best Ever Bargain!

Well then....
What is the best bargain you ever got from eBay? I think that's what it's originally all about finding those great prices on that special item, apologies if there has been a thread like this before but quite frankly I can't recall and I need some inspiration to get buying!
So what sort of purchases have you made that were absolute bargains?
I can't really think of any great buys at silly prices but I suppose a few clothing items at just a few quid would have to be the best buys of mine.

My best buy probably wouldnt be a bargain though to some was a john ditchfield apple that i bought last year. I had been watching it for over a week, then realised it was gonna end during a crucial england euro 2004 match. So i relented and stayed at home instead of going to the pub and i got it for a tenner !! They normally sell on there for £30-40 ++ as it was the extra large one.0

I am a Biker and I recently bought some full leathers for £65 that had hardly been used and they were my exact size

A full set of leathers would usually cost upwards of £200...0 -

My best recent bargin was a particular book id been after for about 6 months. New the book is £13 and on ebay they are selling for £15 second hand. I didnt really want to pay any more than £8 for the book and after unsucessfully bidding on dozens i thought i was going to have to relent and buy a new one at £13.
Then, when i was searching, i stumbled accross someone who had not put the authors name in the title, but it was clearly the same book. Noone was bidding on the item. So, i kept an eye on it, and put a bid in at the last minute for £3 and won the book. Noone else bidded at all. With postage, it came to about £5, but I was well pleased as it was 1/3rd of the price it would have fetched had the seller had put the authors name in the title.0 -

Anyone remember QXL when it was wort about £25 billion in the dot.com boom?
Two types of best buy from them:
Their shares: floated at £1ish and peaked at £25...
Their own-stock Live Auctions: I won loads and loads of them and usually went on to at least double/triple/quadruple my money by re-listing the items on their regular auctions, often having the buyers' money in my bank account before QXL had even charged me for my bid or sent me the goods!
No wonder they almost went broke.
Incidentally, their current share price actually represents a share which has been converted from 1000 of their original shares!British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
