Hi all,
A little confused about a trip to London and the charges..
Due to travel on a Saturday.
Will enter London at 11.30am. Car will remain in a hotel car park until I leave at 10pm.
The car will be stationary in the car park during the charge operational hours but will be in the zone.
Grateful for advice from anyone who knows if I should pay or not.
Many thanks.

Thank you mole rat.
Congestion charge would appear to not be payable based on journey times.
However LEZ and ULEZ are payable as these are 24 hours and i will be driving into the ULEZ zone. The website is very unclear (at least to my Northern brain). Do I need to pay both ULEZ and LEZ for the day?0 -
LEZ does not apply to private cars. ULEZ will apply only if your vehicle is non-compliant. Is it?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thank you macman..
Only ULEZ then. Its 3.0 V6 Diesel 😬0 -
Doesn't depend on engine size, depends on euro 6 compliance. Use https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/TuppenceWorth said:Thank you macman..

My 2003 2.0l petrol is somehow compliant, as it was an early adopter of euro4Pensions actuary, Runner, Dog parent, Homeowner0 -
In general most not all diesels from 2016 are euro 6.
Not jaguar, sorry Ford in jaguar clothing.

That's not correct, for cars, EURO 6 was mandatory from September 2015:Bigwheels1111 said:In general most not all diesels from 2016 are euro 6.

https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra-low-emission-zone/ways-to-meet-the-standard- Euro 4 became mandatory for all new cars in 2005 and light vans in 2006
- Euro 6 became mandatory for all new heavy duty engines for goods vehicles and buses from January 2014, September 2015 for cars and light vans, and September 2016 for larger vans up to and including 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight.

New cars made after that date had to be euro 6, cars made and left in a field until sold were euro 5.Grumpy_chap said:

Vauxhall Vectra cars stopped being made in 2007 I think it was, but one round the corner from me is a 2009.
There was a post on here about it a month ago or so ago, the car was a 2016 but had a euro 5 diesel.
Searched but can’t find the post.

OP, just put the reg into the TFL ULEZ site and it will tell you if it's compliant. As others have stated it needs to be Euro 6 if a diesel, so OK if reg'd post 9/15.
