Lack of Building Regs Certificate for Roof Work

My wife and I had it flagged on our building survey that the roof of the 1950’s semi we're purchasing had some work done to strengthen it (see photo) which should’ve come with a certificate to say it met building regs.
Our solicitor asked the seller and they say it must’ve been done before they purchased (so at least 20 years ago) and wasn’t flagged on their own survey when they purchased. Do we need to get someone to check it’s been done properly and is safe? Does it affect house insurance?

either get them to pay to get checked . pay yourself to get it checked or take out an imdemnity to cover any future faults
