Richburns said:I understand how the DD works and that its not the price of the energy, not had any issues in over 10 years now. I just had expected with it all in the news after April to go up.If you look at your bills and track the amount of credit you had built up you will probably find that around April you still had a high enough credit balance to cover the increased costs. That may change once the new cap is known, but even so it sounds like you have a decent buffer there to help you through the winter, so the DD increase may not be all that high for you...0

The OP still hasn't said when their last bill was and how much it was in debit/credit. If they posted that and their predicted annual usage, someone would give an estimate of DD amount that would be needed to cover it.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Is the direct debit you are on now enough to cover your annual usage at the current SVT rates?
If it is why should it go up. Direct debit reviews are based on the current rates, and on official new cap figures once Ofgem announces it. It is also based on your estimated use for the next 12 month. So if your usage has decreased that will also reduce the direct debit.
What is you annual usage for gas and electricity, your current rates and your direct debit amount?0
