Smashed Wingmirror/Indicator MOT

Hi,
I found some similar posts but nothing with this exact issue. Unfortunatley someone smashed my wing mirror, glass is intact and it still operates, it just doesnt stop in the right place when folding in, it goes until it rests against the window. I have taped it up and its pretty secure in general, the indicator also works just its pretty smashed up.
Would this be able to make it through an MOT? It needs to go through soon and its going to take a while to source all the parts for a proper replacement job.
Thanks!

It should pass with a minor as the indicator lens is damaged, but the light is not adversely affectedMake sure the lens can't fall out, and that no white light is visible- don't tape over the lens though! The mirror might get a minor but will pass as long as it provides an adequate view to the rear from the drivers seat (actually, they should only test the drivers side and interior mirror, but the tester might interpret the regs as "if fitted it has to work")
