Complicated with Sainsburys energy

Personally I'm looking more at what the Jan 23 and Apr 23 rises might be, for which with the 12m fix you will be shielded from, so even if October SVT is slightly cheaper, I would be looking to stick with the fix, unless forward predictions dramatically change

I think I'll ring Sainsburys today that sounds a good deal fro 12 months, especially with the predictions.
but from the OP:mooncat1 said:... a fixed rate for 1 year has been offered £270/month (elec 53p, standing charge 43p and gas 13p, standing charge 27p/day).

Check what they are doing with the calculation of the DD based on your annual use. I recently got an increase notice for my DD from Sainsburys despite being on a fix for another 14 months. They had based it solely on my use from last Jan/Feb. So as if I would be heating the house in July/Aug the same as in winter.
If you have a full year's worth of statements (and it sounds like you do) recalc the DD based on those and let them know after you sign up to the fix.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
