Advice needed please

Hello my daughter is considering taking a gap year before going to uni. Problem is I claim benefits  and she wants to work full time if she stays. She says that working 40 hours at £9.75 a hour at McDonald's but she wants to try go into a supermarket.
Any advice on how it will affect my benefits.

Thanks
Kim

Of course any child benefit / tax credits you receive for her will stop in August. Your housing benefit will not be affected because your husband claims PIP, so non dependent deductions will not apply. His ESA is also not affected by her earnings.

I assumed that if was was earning that much a week it would affected the benefits. She is waiting for the a level results on Thursday then will decide. Thinks she wants a back up plan in case she doesn't get the results she wants.

You should check to see if you can get any council tax support

I used to pay £9 a month towards council tax and it stopped coming out of the bank when covid came. I emailed them and they said because I have a student I don't pay any. But if she is working and not a student we might have to pay.

    Thanks
