Anyway, no, I wouldn't expect a right to a refund for as big a festival as this, even if it's the headliner who has pulled out. It's not a "RATM + support" gig.
I doubt there would be as much outrage if the replacement band was of the same gendre, or of a different gendre - but a comparative size.
I'd guarentee the organisers aren't paying The 1975 nearly as much ad they would have had to shell out for RATM.0 -

You can see the flaws in that approach, though...1 -
I do feel for you. The 1975 are in no way a replacement for RATM. For anyone who doesn't follow this kind of music/festival it's probably the equivalent of replacing Queen with Boyzone.
That said, it's pretty much accepted that bands will have to be replaced at a later date, it happens, hence the T&C basically covering line up changes, but I'd be furious in your shoes as well.

It is hardly the fault of the festival organisers if a band are unable to fulfil their booking.
Is that not a risk for any festival or performance?0 -

It is a risk, and one thats pretty much accepted by most festival goers, but you would expect the organisers to replace like for like. It's the difference between a band who's sold over 16 million albums to one who's sold just under 3.
You could muse to yourself that the monies saved by not finding an equivalent band would prop up the profits.0 -

Is there likely to be a like for like band sitting doing nothing available to step in?0
