Do I get anything extra due to increase in pip award

Options
Hi all

So I was awaiting results of my pip review. I sent back the forms in April before the requested date as I was due to be away when they wanted it. I sought help last time when I initially applied but I had to do my review forms myself.

I got the dreaded letter on Saturday which I thought would mean I would have it stopped but to my surprise I am keeping my daily living award and they have increased my mobility award to 12 points for unable to plan a familiar journey. I now have enhanced on both daily living and mobility.

So other than getting car tax back what else can I get. I'm not looking at notability as we just bought a car on finance and I don't drive.
I looked at the blue badge and even though I get a higher award they only give out on case of descriptor e and ten points which I don't think I qualify for as I got 12 points.

It's not about the money but it does help espically in this current climate. I wanted pip to help get the carer tickets and other things pip passport you to.
Is there anything else I could get now.
Thank you

PIP isn’t a passport to anything more. It is a standalone benefit without carer’s tickets or anything similar.
As for car tax, the vehicle must be for your sole use…ie. partner cannot use it for their own purposes.

The only time he would use it solely is when he is returning to home after dropping me off to  work. I am usually with him when he uses the car.

You might find your partner/ carer gets reduced entry to gardens, museums etc and you may get a reduction or free entry or vice versa.

    • CAN I TAKE A CARER FOR FREE WHEN I VISIT PROPERTIES?

We take equality very seriously, and provide free site access for assisting companions of a disabled Member or visitor. We recognise these companions are key to making access possible, as well as creating an enriched and memorable experience.

We don't ask for any proof of disability, and the companion doesn't have to be a registered carer, nor do they have to be the same person each time you visit.
