Contacting Chubb about an old alarm

Earlier this year my landlord got an electrical safety check done, which showed a fault with the alarm 'it goes into fault mode when power is lost, the panel and external sensor need to be replaced'. The landlord then requested it disconnected. If we want an alarm he's advised us to contact Chubb, which I'm fine with - but I can't seem to find any non 0345 etc number (the number on the alarm box is disconnected it's that old). I only have a mobile so call any number like this costs a fortune. I've tried contacting via their website and no response. Does anyone know of a 'normal' landline number I can contact them on?

Have you tried this page - https://www.chubbfiresecurity.com/en/uk/contact/ - There is a web form you can fill out and they might call you back. Failing that, 0800 321 666 for their sales line. You may be better off contacting a local company that deals with security & alarms. The prices are likely to be a lot cheaper.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
Is there any type of alarm system that a tenant can purchase and then take with them when they move on?Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke0

I'd try replacing the back-up battery, before calling in Chubb. It might or might not work, but worth a shot on any ageing system that "goes into fault mode when power is lost".efftaa said:Earlier this year my landlord got an electrical safety check done, which showed a fault with the alarm 'it goes into fault mode when power is lost, the panel and external sensor need to be replaced'. Are calls to 0345 numbers free?Calls to 03 numbers are inclusive from landlines and from mobiles so if you have free minutes then 0345 numbers are free. If you haven't got any inclusive minutes, or they have run out, these calls are charged at a per-minute rate, often known as “geographic rate”.
