Air Passenger Duty refund - Easyjet

I asked Easyjet to refund APD for flights I can't use and they said they would issue a flight voucher. To me that is wrong as the APD is a Government Tax and should be refunded in cash not vouchers. Any thoughts or advice?
I have written back to say I want the cash not vouchers.

Be careful what you wish for here. For a cash refund they may charge an administration fee. This happened me once, with a different airline, who wanted to charge a £20 admin fee to repay a sub £15 refund.
I have a similar problem with an insurance company that want me to pay a £25 admin fee to reissue a £32 cheque that got lost in the post. I refused to pay so, for the past 14 years, they have been sending me 6 monthly reminders that I need to pay the admin fee to get my cheque, and I complete and return the form in the SAE saying I want the money but I never enclose the £25 admin fee which usually results in another letter asking for the fee, that I ignore - until the next 6 monthly reminder arrives.Past caring about first world problems.0 -

Unless something has changed money should be refunded to the card. I've done this with easyJet a couple of times, most recently as February this year. There was no admin fee.
