My 5 yrs old fridge/freezer needs repairing The fridge is icing and defrosting and water is pooling at the bottom. Should I buy a new one or have it repaired It’s 50/50 frost free.I also need the freezer seal replaced. Thanks

5 years old isn't much.
Make and model? Have you surfed that model for these symptoms?
And could it be that the icing is caused by the poor seal - is it less than airtight?
Could you store/reduce the contents elsewhere to allow a thorough defrost and clean of draining tubes, fans, EVAP trays and stuff?1 -
New one
Parts and labour for a repair are likely to be far more ( unless it was under a warranty)Ex forum ambassador

Check the water drain. Google make/model as bendy suggests or post it on here- may well be a simple fix, before considering call out repair, and definitely before replacement.0
