Good morning all, it's a grey start here, but warm.
Yesterday was hot as usual, but windy. Didn't do much, went to Ar*os to pick up an outdoor recliner chair, one of ours was a bit past it, and did a bit of shopping. That was it .
The rest of the day was spent reading in the shade and doing a few jobs round the house whhen it cooled down a bit in the late afternoon.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good Sunday.

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off Scarlet. The county show was small but perfectly formed. I really enjoyed the Highland cattle rounds and the Clydesdale horses. There were an awful lot of dogs entered in lots of categories, all very eager and waggy. The sun was out and the sky was bright blue, last time I went (2018) it rained all day.I had watered the garden in the early morning though not long enough. My beloved inula hookeri were drooping in the afternoon so I gave the a longer soaking, they soon perked back up. The two new inula plants are in the garden waiting to be planted tomorrow. This morning I am doing a little light shopping in Oban and visiting a elderly couple on the way back. He is a master joiner who made my fire surround / mantle place and did other bits in my house. The sun may burn off the clouds so I hope to get in the garden later and will cut the grass in the evening.I hope that everyone is keeping well and hydrated. Happy Sunday to all.10

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Blue sky and already hot here. I had a rubbish night despite the fan. I was awake more than I was asleep. Bah! DS, his DP and her DD are flying to Gran Canaria this morning and they say it's hotter here.
Another day of sloth, trying to keep cool and nothing much planned. Although I could do with watering the plants at the back before the sun gets round on them. I topped the bird baths up yesterday, it's unbelievable how quickly the water in them evaporates this weather.
I have the excitement of a Tesco delivery this afternoon, I wonder how many subs this time! I had quite a few last time but all were acceptable. And the prices are still steadily on the rise.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and fed up. Take care one and all and keep cool xx

Morning All
Warm and sunny already although we are forecast thunder storms tonight. Washing will go on once I've had a shower. No loch swimming today, I'm fed up of being bitten so will wait until the weather gets a little cooler.
Good visit to the allotment yesterday, I've brought home lots of onions although there are still loads to be pulled but until there's room in the greenhouse they can stay where they are. Also took down the peas as they've finished, hopefully the beans will have a better chance to produce something now. 7 courgettes picked so the neighbours are happy!
I got the window sills re-painted yesterday so that's another job done. Started on the dreaded drive but my heart really isn't in it at the moment, such a big boring job.
I'll have to do some shopping today so I'm already for the return to school - it'll only be 6 weeks until the next break!
Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX9 -
Morning All
Off to London later to pick up DGC after we have had lunch with them all
Very hot here so hoping no travel delays
I bought myself a ninja yesterday Have been looking at the thread on here and seems mostly positive hoping it will mean less use of the oven but will need a few test runs to get used to it
Hope everyone has a good day and manages to stay cool
Hugs to all that want them

Morning
Another day of 32 ahead ....bring on the rain. I have been acting like a small furry animal and hibernating with the shutters shut and as much sleep as possible which wasn't much. The younger me would be ashamed no sun worshipping here.
Not much happening here sold a few more things which is great. Have decided to put the money made in a pot and will think of a pressy mum would love.
NRA which one did you get? I have the 5 in 1 and since I got it the oven hasn't been on once. (Had it for a year now) I do still use the hob for veg/eggs/ but everything else is ninja. You will love it
Over to mums house this week hopefully will have nicely cooled down.
Today I have some slices of pork for dinner. Will just go for some pickles salad and bread to avoid extra kitchen heat. Have a good day all and stay cool if you can10 -
Hi Nels
I got the 9 in 1 was sale price so seemed a good option haven't used a pressure cooker since my aunts old one in the 80s used to scare me to death thought it was going to explode so could be interesting
Hope you manage to get some sleep well done on the sales
Take care

Hello everyone
Little one went home after tea yesterday and the sun suddenly burst through the cloud so I had a lovely couple of hours reading. She tucked into her lasagne cos she'd made it herself - she put the pasta sheets on and spread out the sauce!
More fog today - it's annoying....I'll swop with you Nelski
I've been down and sorted out dads new kindle fire - just need to try to make it open on the Audible app but don't know if it's possible. It plays and stops just by putting in and removing the headphones so that should be easier. He'll need mam to turn it on for him...she kept saying she didn't know if she could manage till I pointed out she can turn her kindle on!
Nothing planned this afternoon. I've still got to finish unpacking so might do that or could just read my Sunday Times!
Hope everyone has a good day x9
