Not sure the "power of nudge" is quite as powerful as it used to be.0

I read it as 0.6% and that tends to be a trend which happens every summer?JJR45 said:Asking prices fell by 1.3% this month on Rightmove, so maybe worth keeping an eye out on prices over the next few months.1 -
If you want to buy, just go for it when you find the right house! You might find the perfect house now and think "No, we will wait 6 months" and then never find 'the' house again. There's never a right time and you can't really predict what will happen to the economy or your personal situation so if you want something, just go for it.
This may not be technically sound advice but you have to decide what your perspective is and this is mine!0 -
This is the first summer in a long time that mortgage rates have gone up, many people have never seen a rate rise in their working life, but it is asking prices I believe so not really an indication of anything except maybe changing sentiment.housebuyer143 said:

Not too mention if/when a crash does come, the ones who will struggle to get onto the ladder are actually first time buyers, as lenders tighten criteria, and ask for more deposit.MEM62 said:
On what is he basing that assumption? Whatever it is it is unlikely to be a genuine reason for delaying.Laura2510 said:My husband thinks the housing market is going to crash and we should wait 12 months
Buy while you can, no one knows what's around the corner.0 -
They are already doing that, getting the house cheaper just means you have less debt to pay back long term.housebuyer143 said:
