If the tenant is at least 2 months in arrears in value with their rent issue a S8 G8 , 10 & 11.
To issue the S8 G8 they have to be 2 months in arrears at the time of issuing and again at the time of the court hearing.

All the other cobblers about the deposit are wrong.
Under S8 G8 the judge has no discretion and must issue the possession order of 14 days
If they dont leave after 14 days then apply to the court for the bailiffs to carry it out

I have just gone through this and managed to get my property back on Thursday

In total the timescale was as follows..........issue of S8 was on 7th February...........applied to the court 15 days later........got a court hearing of towards the end of May.........3 weeks after this possession order i applied for the bailiffs and they came on 11th August to carry it out.
So it was just over 8 months from the last rent payment to the eviction

    Hope this helps

This sounds cruel, but if she stops paying rent on a notice being served and receives housing benefits, then I'd report her for fraud. The money is meant for housing but not being used for it.
May you find your sister soon Helli.
    Sleep well.
