Fedex bill

I bought an item off Ebay.   It was faulty and I received a full refund from the seller.   I have now received a fedex bill for duty and tax.   Can I ignore it or will there be consequences?

Comments

  • Contact FedEx and speak to someone, explain everything and it'll get corrected, you'll receive a letter/statement showing the breakdown detailing the actions.
I had the same scenario recently.
  • How did you get to speak to anyone at fedex.   There doesn't appear to be any way to contact them.
  • I have now contacted fedex.   I'll see what they say.

It's not FedEx's responsibility. Did you actually return the item or did the seller tell you just to dispose of it? The only way of getting out of paying the duties and taxes is by proving the good were exported again.
