If an attempt was made to switch, say, 21 days after the date of transfer then it would be rejected by the system. I have no idea whether this will change with the reduction to the switching time.

Taking over a deemed supply is not a switch. The property is correctly listed on the two National Databases with the deemed supplier as the designated supplier. All the deemed supplier has to do is set up a new account.

Question is not how long the switch takes, it is about people been told that when they sign up with the supplier who was supplying their new home they have to wait 21 days before they can start the switching process.
