Strange meal traditions

lol :rotfl: You must know the same couple we know, always come home starving, in fact, we always make sure we have plenty of food here to eat when we come home and no none of us are fat as well  I just don't get it, I come from a family who ate well and guests never went home hungry
My parents ARE the couple I know where I always come home starving! Guests.....!? I was discouraged from bringing anyone home for a meal to their house whilst I was growing up.... I can rarely remember doing so and I can never remember them having anyone at all (other than the odd visiting relative) around for a meal.0 -

We always had sugar on our lettuce.Hated it then. Hate it now. Oh yes and the dollop of salad cream on the tomato and cucumber.
Mind you Mum was a very good baker and excellent judge of amounts for feeding the five thousand. Her mince pies were legendary.
As for salad, pasta and rice.... no way were they REAL food.. far too foreign.
But what would she order in the restaurant... Pasta and salad..loved it. !!!0 -
