Is there such a thing as an independent energy cost calculator? I have all the meter readings and I'd just like to check what the bill should be as I've not received one since moving to this company.
Thanks

Dates, readings (both day and night if electricity is E7), daily standing charge and rate per kWh, for each fuel.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I don't want to clutter with a new thread, would someone mind calculating how much I will pay in October and then in January? Online calculators embedded in newspaper articles are assuming I'm on the current standard variable, but I'm on a fixed plan due to end in two months so it's a bit wrong.
Annual Usage: 4,700 Gas, 3,900 Electricity
Electricity 20.69p/kWh, 17.19p/day
Gas 3.85p/kWh, 19.27p/day
(All rates inc. VAT)
Cheers

Here you go. Based on the latest CI predictions.
This is only to give you an idea, the 3 x £250 for October is of course only correct if you use exactly a quarter of your energy in this three months. You would need to give your exact energy use for each month to get a better guesstimate.

This is one calculator, not showing the April 2022 figures yet but does have the predicted costs for Oct. Bear in mind those are only predictions until the cap is announced and different groups have given different values

Lots of "wrong" information here.
- There is a drop down for region, but all the tariff information for October is the same.
- Unit rates for all payment forms are the same
- Standing charges are the same. Prepayment has higher charges, so the current standing charges should be used
- different standing charges for the region are not applied
- if you play around rates are sometime not reset, I just had 15p gas price for wakes for October 2021 to March 2022
- Why only October to April 2022 and October 2022 to January 2023, where is the current SVT
- The new rates are valid between October and December not January
I appreciate the work somebody has done here, but some of the above can lead to confusion and should eb corrected.
Edit
Sorry, I overlooked that you mentioned that the current cap is not in the calculator.1 -
