Morning.. Didn't post yesterday, I did start but then I got distracted, went off and never came back...The HF is for definite, they have put me on tablets for now pending some more testing [no idea when] , after I phoned the surgery because cardio asked were they being prescribed, no said I, I don't talk to the doctor for two weeks yet, so I phoned yesterday morning and they were very good with a phone back to do that in the afternoon. I'm feeling a bit less terrified today after talking to two friends last night. I was looking round at all my stuff though thinking, I need to get rid of a lot of it, can't be leaving the OH to cope with that. And thinking about the things and places I won't do or go and see . Your brain does go down some avenues. I may go out today, I may not, it's forecast for silly hot again, so I'll see...I've just shut the downstairs window by me because hot air is strting to blow.TA, glad the celebration went well, sounds lovely. Izzy, hope your nails stay as they should be!

Sorry, I think I'm making it sound worse than it is, it's not stage 4 or anything, no investigation has been done yet but I went straight down worse case scenario road and I'm finding it a bit difficult, because at least with the cancer, it was so serious that I didn't have time to think, everything seemed to be being done all at once, but this time, things are so up in the air, I don't have a timetable to work to, so I can't plan, so then I immediately imagine the worse. Doesn't help that arrhythmia is probably the cause because the stress and worry has just made it happen pretty much 24.7 since I found out. Probably not explaining this very well....

Hi All
Taff just popping in to say that the words HF are frightening but as I said before my ex OH has-been living with it for a number of years and still going strong. I hope the tablets work well for you
Warm night again and awake early doors

Big hugs to you taff, such a lot to take in.
What a star your little one is dp1.7 -
Wanted to pop back in to offer hugs to Taff - as you've just said, you're not in worst case scenario but it's a shock to the system anyway. All being well the medication will help.DP1 - your little one sounds so chirpy, youngsters seem to take awful situations in their stride. It's good to hear that she can drink now.Camelot - that's what I would do, eat all the peas out of the pod, best part of growing peas. Enjoy your final weekday of freedom, another 'I can't believe how fast time has flown' moment.Coxy - how exciting. My fingers are tightly crossed for you, after feeling so bad about work it's time you had something new to work on. Not sure I fancy 'Nope' though the trailers make it look interesting, please report back about it.TA - I'm glad it all worked out last night. You should be proud of how your DGD has turned out, all that loving care, and pasta bake, has been instrumental in her maturity.Izzy - relax this weekend, next one will be so busy for all the family.Rosy - your pedicure sounds lovely, hope you enjoy the wedding tomorrow.Bella - keep cool!Nelski - I hope that you're doing OK.My mission of the day was accomplished - the adaptor was tucked deep into my underwear drawer (not the most obvious place). Once I'd found it I did some decluttering of old bras and winter tights. Also found 12 new pairs of Sloggi knickers which I took from my DM's place. She had boxes of them, all unopened and unused, I had forgotten about them so unboxed them and stuck them back in the drawer, at the bottom of the pile. The heavy fog has all lifted and the day is sunny and bright, no breeze again. I've filled the bird water up, shaken the feeders and chatted to a passing tourist. This chap always stops at my place, toots his car horn, talks for five minutes and goes off.During my call with my SIL she suggested that I stay one night in an hotel at Brisbane airport - my flight is due to land at 10.30p.m. and it could be an hour before I can exit the airport. She lives a two and half hour drive north of the airport so it's not good doing all that driving late at night. So, I've booked a room.7

Taff - sorry I haven't read back yet - what is HF?
Spent ages trying to get dad's Audible library to refresh only to eventually discover that you can't use it on Windows laptops since 31st July.
Does anyone use a Kindle Fire for Audible books? I need something very simple that mam can switch on and press play for him.
I've left it on the Audible website for him and set the laptop to stay awake but it's not the best method. He can't manage anything changing and took it as a personal insult....

dp1 - You can play audible books with the kindle app [ but if it's on a phone now you can't buy books through the kindle app] or you can use a kindle or a fire [ and you can buy books through those]. The kindle app interface is better on a fire than a kindle because its in colour and easier to see [ from my experience anyway] Not sure about the volume required, whether it will be loud enough on whatever device you will use.HF - Heart Failure or as they like to call it now, reduced pumping function....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi5
