Health Insurance Cover - Moratorium

If I do not see my GP for two years for any illness or symptoms for anything, I am presuming anything is covered under policies that state moratorium cover? Is this correct, I understand that most say 5 years, but 2 years if no issues....

Also, if you don't claim on the health insurance policy for a few years, I am presuming the price stays pretty static?

Lastly, I am going to opt for unlimited outpatient (is it worth restricting cover to 3 consultant appointments or having that unlimited too). I ask because that seems to be a big differential in price and are you charged the excess if you use the private GP service provided by the provider versus using your NHS GP for a referral instead?

Any experience on either please....

The price won't stay static, no.  It'll go up every years since the likelihood of claiming increases dramatically with age.

Generally, for moratorium cover you would need to have not had treatment, consultations or symptoms of a condition for the moratorium period.  Obviously, having symptoms doesn't necessarily mean you've been to your doctor about it.

With regards to the unlimited outpatients is purely based on your assessment of the risk versus cost.  What's worth paying for by me may not be by you.
