The boxes are opened at one end and this does not effect the top at all so opening would not cause any damage.
personally find this whole drama unbelievable. What gives these companies the right to send shoddy products and then refuse to refund or exchange? I spent £129 on these products and still Jon the wiser on how to take this forward as they refusing anything ?0 -
These days, most things that come in a box will also be wrapped in a plastic bag - if the bag isn't cut, it wasn't caused during opening the box.Bradden said:
I think that coulkd be exactly what Game suspect.. I know I've made that mistake when cutting open boxes. Might be easily disproved though as those type of cuts would be fairly distinct.Ergates said:
Given that the reason Game are refusing the refund is that the packaging wasn't damaged, then probably not.superbigal said:1 Slash mark okay. 2 slash marks mmmm. I have certainly caused damage when opening packaging with a Stanley knife.
Is this what Game are suggesting ?

No they don't have those 'rights'. No-one but you has suggested they do.OGDuffy said:The boxes are opened at one end and this does not effect the top at all so opening would not cause any damage.

As a consumer you have several rights under various consumer protection laws to get the goods you are entitled to.
However to enforce your rights your last resort is to make a claim in the small claims court (Money Claim Online).
This link https://www.icomplaints.co.uk/game-complaints/ lists some ways in which you can escalate your complaint to Game short of going to court.1
