Hoping some of the very knowledgeable folks on here can sanity check my decision.
So about to come of my cheap fix with Eon next ( end Sept) and have been offered the svr or a fix for 12 months.

Svr offered is Next flex
Elec SC 47.58
Unit rate 29.58
Gas SC 27.22
Unit rate 7.36

Or to fix Next online v18
Elec SC  47.58
Unit rate 54.35
Gas SC 27.22
Unit rate 13.35

( all include vat)

Usage over the last 12 months ( I take readings every month) so not estimated is
Gas 12255 kwh
Elec 2543 kwh

So I know if I opt for the svr that will shoot up in Oct anyway, but will it be as much as the fix rates they have offered? Really not sure what to do. Based on my usage ,I'm going from a current DD of £99 to £160 svr ( which will rise anyway) to £270 for the fix. Ouch
Can anybody say what the best thing to do is? 🙏

They won't be far off the October price cap and cheaper than the predicted January cap so I would say worth taking.

Just read this is being withdrawn and much more expensive v19 starting today. If you can get v18 still you need to act now.

According to their tariff search page Online v18 is still the current version. There's a different series of 1 Year tariffs which has gone on to v19.

First take the tariff NOW. You can cancel during the cool off period, but you will not get the tariff once it is been withdrawn and replace by a much more expensive one. I am surprised this has not happened yet.

Electricity is slightly more expensive (2p) than predicated October cap, but gas is 1.5p cheaper. The price table below is based on the CI predictions and does not cater for the different regional prices. So there will be small differences for gas and bigger ones for electricity (1 to 3p).

You need to know what your usage is to calculate the losses and wins for the different quarters and add them up to see if it is worth it.
