Is my fixed E On Next tariff going to go up?
Hello,
Sorry for the stupid question, as I have read all about the energy price costs going up.
I am with E On Next for my gas and electric, we currently pay this-
Rates and charges
| Electricity usage | 1,927kWh |
|---|---|
| Electricity unit rate | 29.24p per kWh |
| Electricity standing charge | 37.92p per day |
| Gas usage | 17,609kWh |
| Gas unit rate | 7.34p per kWh |
| Gas standing charge | 27.22p per day |
We are on the Next Flex package, and I believe we signed up to this tariff a few months ago but I can't find the email confirming that.
We are expected to pay £2090 a year, so am just hoping we stay at that until our current tariff ends?
Just confuses me a bit as I know the rates are going up, but just don't know if I will be affected.
Thank you,

Next Flex is not a fixed tariff, it is the standard variable which will rise on October 1st.0

Next Flex is not fixed but is their standard variable rate governed by the cap rules and will be increasing in October (and January and April and ........)

So, like most of us, it's time to look at what you use and how you can cut down.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Sorry to say that your £2090 will almost double by January if the current predications prove to be correct. The 82% increase is more than likely to happen, only 2 weeks left to the official cap announcement for October and I would expect Ofgem to do a press release if they believe CI is really far off with their prediction.
As said by the above, you are on the SVT, and you don't have to sign up for it. Did you come of a fixed tariff and did not chose a new fixed tariff for example? You will be on SVT in this case.

You might want to consider a FIX on the V18 Online tarrif, discussion here:Your gas usage is very very high and rates are predicted to sky rocket again.0

This was posted by @pochase this is the cornwall insights predictions for prices just to give you an idea of how bad this is going to get. Your gas alone would be £2736 at Q4 prices but Q2 prices is £3406.

Do you manage your account ONLINE? If yes, then you will find copies of messages and emails in your 'Account Summary' on your account just underneath the Tariffs section. As you can see with me it lists current tariffs and future tariffs and I have access to all emails and (downloadable) messages sent to me. If no, then perhaps you might think about managing your account ONLINE as these tariffs are almost always cheaper (they are with Eon Next)Johnm2019 said:I am with E On Next for my gas and electric .......
