Smart meter readings don’t always tally with billed amount

Hi. We have noticed that our smart meter readings don’t always tally with our billed amount.
For instance our July monthly bill for gas and electric with Octopus according to the Smet2 should be around £110, plus VAT. When the bill came through it was £164, a 30%+ difference.
We believe the tariff cost is up to date.

We have tried to ask Octopus, someone told us the smart meter is only a guide which is scary.
It’s worrying that there is such a huge difference, any ideas please. Thanks

Have you checked the actual units used and tallied them up using your tariff to check which is correct?0
