If you see a tariff you think you may want, grab it now. You can always back out in the cooling off period if you think prices are softening.

Remember to look at the rates through, not the total cost, so you can make an informed decision.

Yeah at this point they are taking advantage of people just hoping they hit the button. Greedy scum.

Remember that the direct debit total is not necessarily a useful comparison and is not your bill - you need to take your actual usage in kwh and work out how much you will pay from the unit rates. If you post your usage in the last 12 months and the tariff details then I'm sure some knowledgeable person on here will be able to advise how much you can  expect to pay.

Be very careful with this tariff. While the major part of it is fixed there are some components that are not, and your cost can increase if those increase.

It's easy enough to work out yourself.

(Elec Unit rate x annual usage ) + (elec standing charge x 365) = total electric cost per year

If you have the kWh used for gas then use the same calculation above but with the gas unit rate and attending charge.
If you're converting direct from meter readings then it will depend if your meter is in ft3 or m3, there will be a conversion formula on your last bill.

Do that for the current svt and also for the fixed rate  tariff you're being offered. Ultimately it will be then down to you to decide whether it's worth fixing or not.

Those numbers are not the current price cap, that is a fixed tariff they are offering despite calling Flexi. Current SVT capped rate is around 30p electric, 8p gas currently but will go up in Oct. Prices will be much more as you've been on a fix for 2 years and protected from any rises. The SVT cap is more than your previous bill but not as much (yet) as the fix offered
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
