Advice Needed – Flexible Octopus October 2021 v2

Hi all,

I'm after some advice please. I live in Essex, 5 bed detached, only 2 adults (both working from home full time), x2 350kW solar panels (no battery storage)

I'm currently on:

Flexible Octopus October 2021 v2

⚡️ 29.23p/kWh |  SC:37.65p/day

🔥 7.34p/kWh | SC: 27.22p/day

Estimated Annual Usage

⚡️ 4141.1 kWh

🔥 22242 kWh

I'm assuming this will end this coming October and I'll be transferred over to the new equivalent. My question is, what should I do?

EV Charging

I do have a Hybrid that I'm currently charging at 29.23p. The average month, I will use around 100kWh charing the car. (£29)

I know Octopus offer their IntelligentOctopus tariff but the day time cost is around 40p/kWh. Will the new Flexible Octopus tariff I'm transferred to, be more?

I appreciate above is a complete brain dump of information, but I wondered if someone give me some advice please?

If you've got an EV, an Octopus EV tariff - Go, or Go Faster, or (if your car and charger are compatible) Intelligent - is likely to be much cheaper than Flexible Octopus from October.
