Hi. Is there any easy or 'correct' way to remove coving? Having never put it up im not sure how to take it down! Do I just smash it up into small peices then clean up the bits where the adisive has stuck on the wall with a chisle/knife/sandpaper?
thanks
thanks

Is it plaster coving or polystyrene coving ????
Polystyrene no probs.....
Plaster coving I would be extremely careful what you are doing cos if its been put up properly would stand a good chance of pulling you ceiling down as well as the coving !!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Oh! It is plaster, Ive put a hammer through it. Perhaps I should have left it!
thanks0 -
Removing the coving is easy.
Removing the coving without damaging the wall or ceiling is not at all easy.
I did an en-suite bathroom a few weeks back and had to remove the coving and I did it with one of these babies- Bosch PMF 180E
They have not been out long and are a cheaper version of the Fein multimaster. With one of these you can put on a dust mask and gloves and cut up behind the coving, cutting the adhesive.
Argos and some B&Q's have them for about £65.00
Screwfix have them at £99.00 :eek:0
