Hi worried about my energy direct debit, we live in a one bed bungalow, 4 rooms in total I pay £62 a month duel  fuel it’s summer I’m now £274 in debt plus they are saying I need to pay £216 a month DD British Gas? I can’t aford this ? And my fixed rate is up in September and October I’m on a standard tariff any advice please thank you

  • Why are they making you pay £216 a month if youre on a fixed rate - you shouldn't be using too much over the 62 they must have estimated? Havin said that ive gone from under a hundred to 250 in a year and theres no way i can pay any higher when it goes up again soon.
