My supplier, Scottish Power, advertises 100% win power electricity so why has my bill gone up to the cap when it is only gas that has increased?

    Good Afternoon,

My supplier (Octopus) states that 100% of the Electricity they use is generated from renewable sources

I understand why the standing charge has increased but not why the price of Electricity, in this case, is linked to the price of gas, given no gas is used to generate the electricity in the first place
