Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot, air is cool but will soon heat up.. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, chips/rice/veg. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be having.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc.Today may be glorious, all the signs are there already, there's a low mist over the sea and the sky is already bright. 😀
Yesterday was a strange one, not warm or cold. I did a quick trip into town but the country shop still didn't have the small packs of bird peanuts. The huge bags are too much for me to cope with these days. The assistant said that a delivery is due today. My gardener came in the afternoon. She planted the rose and then dug out the very old and very dead hydrangea bush, that was a big job. It's all now in the boot of my car. Late on I mowed half the lawn. Only half because I'd not charged the battery 🪫 I'll do the rest today. I'll also do a whites wash, it'll dry well.Taff - I hope you're feeling OK.Happy Wednesday to all.11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work is not too bad. It's a sunny start here, yesterday was hot. We went for a walk in the early afternoon down to our riverside park, and it was packed! The splash pad beside the children's playground was full of screaming children hopping around in the jets of water, it's great to see them. We might be going there with DD and her two today. The level of water in the river is very low though, sadly. We went to the quiz last night, and had a good catch up with friends.Apart from a possible visit to the park with Dd and family there's nothing else on for today. There's housework to do, but there's always that. The window cleaner came the other day, so I really should be doing the insides, and the wardrobe mirror doors. Dh will help if I set to with them.Hope everyone has a good Wednesday, take care folks.11

Morning All
Warm and sunny already, it's going to be a hot one today. I was a busy bee yesterday and cleared out the cellar, took a car load to the tip and the bin is nearly full. There were tins of paint I'm sure I brought here when I moved in nearly 9 years ago! The floor has been swept so it looks nice and tidy. My builder chap has taken a couple of large metal storage boxes, he'll take the rest and the long ladders too. Better for someone to have use from them.
Found over 100 vinyl LPs that I have now found a new home for, I put them for sale on a market place and a friend replied asking for them, he can have them for nothing as I had completely forgotten they were there and I don't have a turntable anyway. Also have a car cycle carrier that I've advertised - not much good when I don't have a bike! Although dusty it was nice and cool under the house!
I'm taking the little one out this morning for a couple of hours, hope it's not too warm. This afternoon will probably be spent relaxing with a book unless I can get more of the insulation to put in.
Hope you're ok Nelski and your DM is recovering.
Take care. XX9 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another hot, hot, hot one forecast hereabouts.
After numerous postponements BFF and I finally met yesterday and enjoyed our coffees and lunch over much catching up. She had her new wig on and it looked lovely, I was envious!! She has her penultimate chemo on Friday so it's fingers crossed she's not as ropey after this one.
It's bus trip day so probably Skipton again - we are getting set in our ways! All 3 of us today for the first time in ages. There will be lots of gossip etc to catch up on over our lunch! I have a drink chilling to take with me as no doubt it will be hot on the bus ride over. I am hoping there will be more browsing than actual spending done!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed ups. NELS I hope your DM is on the mend, it'll be one les worry for you. Take care one and all and be safe. Morning all. Yes, it's sunny again..All windows and doors open to get the cool breeze. Feet and hands look pretty damn good if I say so myself. No sandals will be afraid to adorn my feet now. Until the polish grows out anyway. I've booked to go back in two weeks before I go just to keep this weird girly moment going. Today I have sorting and sewing plans and a phone call this morning. I have a table top of things to take that I want to pack up properly and neatly and it'll be good not to be tripping over them strewn around the passageway
I may venture out after the phone call, I don't do purses but I do do wallets and I'd like one that actually clips shut for the euro's. SO nothing too exciting today
Gers, I'm OK, I'm just waiting for news but I am also going to delay any appts until after I get back. It's been four years, I'm sure a month won't hurt. Could you buy the big one, get someone to carry it to your car, then decant it in the boot into smaller bags/buckets when you're home? camelot, the beauty of a cellar, cool in the heatTA, enjoy your social butterflyness
Izzy, you ease girl, you ease! Rosy, it's nice to be able to fix things for someone
Nels, hope you're taking ti steady and your mum is getting better. Look after yourselves, hey to the holidaymakers, have fun and the missing, hope you're OK !

Morning all and thanks for the thread nmlc,
Cooler this morning but set to ramp up later. Luckily our home office is north facing so keeps fairly cool.
Dinner tonight is chicken fajitas SW-style. We have more painting to do - last coat of satinwood on the spindles and newel posts. We had dinner before painting last night, then DS1 turned up to drop pup off so that was another hour break. Finally finished at 9.45pm!
Our garden is very crispy and lacking in colour. The only things still going are the white Japanese anemone and pink phlox. All very disappointing but what can you do. Thames water are about to issue a hosepipe ban here so hoping my neighbour takes note!
Happy bus trip day TA and hope your friends' treatment goes well on Friday x
Hope DMum is doing okay Nels?
taff - your sewing skills leave me in awe - wish I could make things.
Hugs to all those struggling and have a good day all.

Morning
Mum is feeling lots better so seems the anti Bs are working. She was sitting in the lounge watching TV yesterday so all is on the mend hopefully
I'm at her house for another heart sink day of clearance. Not sure what's on the to do list but I do need to start moving things out so I suspect some charity calls to see who collects. My neighbour wants to put a few more things on Facebook under her name so that she can arrange collection when she's there. Sold a few things so far but still wonder if its worth all the effort I haven't even covered one taxi fare home yet.
That just about fills the day then home tonight
Another one who hates the heat. Be so glad to see the forecast rain on Sun
Have a great day all10 -
Morning all been missing for a few days as trying to limit my web time i was on there all the time so i have had a few days off but have been reading along . Dog walked and fed water bowls outside refilled and nets on the line and inside windows cleaned i am going to call the blind and curtain man for a quote as i dont like nets and the curtains in my room need replacing as the blackout bit has worn through so there're black patches on the lining. dinner tonight fish finger pie and peas. Its going to be a hot one for the next few days so will be changing to salad after today
Nels Good to hear mums improving Boo to the house clearing
Taff a pedicure is lovely you come out and feel you are walking on air
Izzy take it easy today

Scarlett No pushing the kids out the way to play in the splash park
