How can this be when we have the hottest/driest summer since
My supplier keeps advising me to increase my monthly direct debit because they have set a high figure to include possible annual bills - if I don’t pay the higher rate (because I am currently not using anywhere near that amount) they say I am in (future forecast) debt. Are they not making a false profit now by forcing everyone to pay an ‘average’ of the (possible) year, to include next winter and still unknown gas price?
At the height of last winter I paid a peak of around £150 per month but they now REFUSE to allow my direct debit to go below 191, despite using around £60 pm for months.
If I don’t pay their rate I am told I am “in debt” (I have previously got a credit refund of £200 - but immediately after that the AI stated I was in debt again… simply not true!) I feel the are extorting 130 every month for future bills - what f I sell up and move to a hotter country, will they pay me interest on the money they owe me!?

They are trying to get ahead for the winter. Cash flow is just as important as profit and sometimes more so.0
