Please help because southwest of Englands people are being neglected and forgotten, and are really financially suffering! Why is the south west of England neglected again? We are struggling so much and it’s being ignored. We are having major cuts in bus service, the only way many can survive, and yet lack of funds have meant they have been axed leaving rural dwellers, small villages and even people who live in towns cut off from basic human amenities hospital and drs, many elderly vulnerable low income families do not have the opportunity to just pop to the shop, because we do not have the luxury big city retail premises or reliable public service to get to places, walking is not an option because distance, and private cars petrol are now a luxury that many are having to use these at a sacrifice of other things heating and food.So when I read messages like this and I am all praise for the company but to specify only certain areas… is un fare!No one is speaking out or recognising the plight of the southwest and how badly we are being ignored. For example yeovil Somerset is in the bottom 20% of the most deprived areas in the country!! government are saying all these things ie better transport, help for cost of living but there is no consideration as to regional issues that in turn cause even more turmoil.0 -
An elderly relative (aged 84) was given a leaflet about this by a neighbour. The neighbour telephoned for him with loudspeaker on, the call was answered and the voucher arrived within about two weeks. This is in Scotland.martinjohn said:Anyone recieved there's yet... Still waiting....
A few weeks later another elderly neighbour telephoned the number but, by then, all the vouchers had gone and, unfortunately, that person, who would have been eligible, was too late.
