Attempted to get this for Mum in law today....rang after 9am met with 58 min approx waiting time.......phoned again at 9.45 and just under 55 mins left call back details ....nothing yet.
An 82 year old who meet the criteria and was quite off with me because I couldn't sort this out.
While it is an excellent offer from Iceland - am not hopeful as would think all the 40,000 have gone0 -
Have tried many times over past 2 days and didn't get past the automated message telling you to call back later...before being disconnected!0

My mother has been trying since Monday at 9 and called first thing every day soon . Says she'll get a call back from some automated message apparently. Gotten nowhere with it. Think theyve bitten off more than they can chew with this one!0

My mum tried 4 times in one day and kept getting cut off. So then she tried a 5th time but music started - she hung on for 45 mins and eventually got through just after 5pm.
She got herself the voucher - they took ages checking pension/pension credits details and was told they would take up to 3 weeks to arrive.

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I realise that (as with the cost of living payments) there have to be set criteria and someone will always lose out, but those with tiny occupational pensions which take them just over the pension credit threshold do seem to be very much stuck between a rock and a hard place. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

been a week and no sign of it... hope they did it right as the operator seemed in a rush?0 -

I am 77 and on Pension Credit, and phoned numerous times, being told busy and then hanging up on me.
Its also rang but after 30mins + of repetitive music no one answers. I'm not the only one who's had this problem. It would have been easier dealt with instore when we got our 10% giving the voucher for the next time we shopped.
Complete waste of time and I as others are rightly upset.0 -
