Pip assessment scoring

Hi, I rang up pip to receive my assessment report before the dwp's decision , on the report from the scoring, she scored me enhanced daily living and standard mobility and recommended 2 years. Any assessment in the past has gave me a score of 0 then I get a letter from the dwp also giving me 0. I called up cab and they said to me that the dwp will likely to with the assessment.

Just wanted to ask does anyone know if it's a possibility that the dwp when they make the final judgement could go against the successor or more likely ago I with the decsion.

I went all the way I the tribunal last time and they said all the evidence from that will also be considered so maybe that was a help. Thanks

Are you already getting PIP and this was a review or renewal? It sounds as if you are from the mention of a Tribunal. What was the award?
It is the Decision Maker who will decide the outcome: they often go with the assessor, but not always.

I was on pip last year that went to a tribunal, it ended in February I think. Is it more likely in that case that you receive points from the assessment?

It depends on what your award was and why, and if your health conditions - and how they affect you -  have changed or not.
I think you just need to be patient and wait for the decision. Try not to worry but come back for advice if the decision is not what you expected.

It is rare but possible for the decision maker to go against the report but I've only heard of that happening to give a higher award than the report recommended.  It is most usual for them just to go with the report, so that is very much the most likely outcome.

This is basically the exact words that were said to me from pip, which I was surprised at, he said that pip employs these assessors so it would be very strange for any award to change unless it was to give a higher score. I think after the last tribunal where the assessors original assessment was savaged due to not looking at the diagnosis letters or any evidence then they just kept the same results as they know it's impossible for my condition to change at present and they know if take it all the way like last time.

Ps, I feel so bad for people that have no help when they get 0 on their assessments and give up even though they have every right to a fair decision , sadly it's never the case, please contact CAB as they were amazing at every step

I've seen DWP decisions that removed points.
One removed a potential award indicated by the assessment report. On appeal, and at tribunal, the claimant did get the award, as the PIP form and claimant's verbal evidence was consistent with the assessor's findings.

I think honestly and especially new claimants they just give them zeros and a false report right off the bat thinking that they won't persue the claim. I had an assessment report a few years ago where pip actually contacted me and explained that they're sending the report back as they thought it was unacceptable. I do believe now things are tightening up where people are getting a better chance but the system is still flawed. I won my last appeal all the way from 0s and a tiny paragraph from the assessment to 15 months later receiving enhanced on both and 7000 lump sum

Hi guys, just an.update, today I got the text saying I've been awarded pip, hopefully the system is changing slightly as this seemed like an easier process, I wish luck in all who are waiting for a decision

That does seem to be true and there has been a significant increase in the number of applications for PIP (which is adding to the assessment process).
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
