Is this a good fix offer now?

I have been offered this fix by my current supplier. With the expected increase coming up is this now a good deal?

1 Year Smooth Renew v19

Unit charge

52.12p/kWh

Standing charge

48.53p/day

Unit charge

13.26p/kWh

Standing charge

27.22p/day

Is this worth it? Or should I just go onto the price cap when my current fix ends next month? Please help.

It’s cheaper than the BG tariff I’ve just gone with so it looks ok to me.

Based on the current predictions it seems reasonable, expect it to be withdrawn.

Have you seen the latest predictions from today?

You should take the offer now and think later. It might be gone in a few hours. Use cool off if you decide you don't want it.

Get on it fast, you should be given a 14 day cooling off period to "think" about it.

Will try get on this fix. How reliable are the current predictions? Does anyone know when Ofgem will actually announce the official figures (in the next 14 days maybe?)?

Just out of interest, how much were the rates and SCs on your BG tariff?

Ofgem announcement will be on 26th of August, so to late for the cool off period.

Nobody knows how reliable the predictions are, most likely good to very good for October with becoming more and more of a crystal ball the more they get into 2023.
