We booked a holiday beginning on year 2022 .. then to receive a call at 2pm the day before we travel had cancelled the booking and was sending us to a sister holiday on the other side of the island that we where with other family members as a family holiday there room was not cancel as it was a separate booking to ours . We where giving 3 hours to decide on the sister hotel transfer . That had nothing for our son being autistic and was not our choice as it was ment to be a family holiday .. so we had no choice to decline the offer that ment my daughter/ grandson.and her partner had to carry on with there holiday while we return back home ..we had no apology or reason why and told we would get a full refund of holiday in 14 day and then have to wait if we get compansation or will we have to fight for it . From jet2 .

Unfortunately a package holiday provider's legal obligation only extends as far as a full refund, but Jet2's Ts & Cs do also offer a £40pp compensation payment in such circumstances.
Please post back with the outcome and/or if further assistance is needed....0 -
see if they can book a room at that hotel while there . and get it written down on a headed paper . just for their memory

Somebody being able to book a room at the hotel now, doesn't mean anything. There could be any number of reasons for the room being unavailable at short notice. The tour operator gave the option of a different hotel or a full refund, and that is what they have to do. Anything further from Jet2 will be in line with legal requirements possibly plus something for the inconvenience cause by the late cancellation. The latter will be goodwill payment.
