Vision Express

Due to having a long standing problem with contact lenses, i decided to try out and buy a 3 month supply of lenses from vision express. This was to ensure my eyes were ok and then I could order off the net a lot cheaper. Vision Express tried to get me to join a registration scheme for £114 and that was before buying the lenses!!! I don't think so!

So I ordered my lenses wihtout joining the scheme and recieved a call a few days later to say they were in stock. I went and they couldn't find them. They reordered and called again. So off I went again and collected my lenses today.

I don't believe it.... they have only given me the wrong prescription lenses! So I'll have to take them back. By the end of it I'll of have paid £6 in transport there and back!!

On top of this, 3 weeks ago I ordered some daily disposable lenses for a company called Getlenses off the net, to use for sailing. they only gave my wrong prescription to Getlenses and so I have a batch of lenses the wrong size >:(. (lucky my fella's size so he's gonna have them)

How useless? I'm never using vision express again.

i went for a check up there a few years ago and bought some prescription sunglasses at the same time. a brown frame so i asked for brown lenses. picked them up a week later and they had green lenses in them. my mum had ordered some glasses at the same time asked me to pick hers up. turns out they had burnt the frames and were also the last pair. but waiting for them took 30mins. the opticians kept on walking straight past glancing at me then going away. now im with specsavers who seem a lot more professional

  • update: I phoned the manager and had a rant. She was very apologetic and asked if i'd give them one more try. I said, no way I'm not dealing with you again and for the record I've orded the same lenses £35 cheaper off the net!

I took the lenses back to VE and got my money back.

I now what you mean rygon, the staff do walk back and forth looking at you. Makes you feel very uncomfortable.
