Eon 1 year fixed tariff?
Parent has been offered a fixed tariff when her current one ends in Sept. She’s lost the letter, misunderstood what was said on the phone, doesn’t have an online account and when I try to get the rates online the site is crashing.
Does anyone have the details of what existing customers are being offered? She’s understood that the rates are what they are now (SVR?) and will be cheaper than the likely October price rise, but I’m not convinced.
Thanks in advance.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Is this eon next or eon? Eon have no tarriffs that are cheaper than the price cap. Eon next have one tarrif that is marginally cheaper on gas but more expensive on electricity, may be suitable depending on your circumstances.
The rates cannot be what they are now (SVT) for a fixed, that's impossible.

She’s not sure because she lost the letter. She’s meant to be phoning back to check. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

If she does not have an online tariff, she might have been offered the 1Year Direct Debit v18 (Not online) OR 1Year Payment on Receipt of Bill v18.

Both these versions are more expensive than the ONLINE Direct Debit v18 tariff as you should be able to see from the link.1 -
Out of interest, I had a look at the tariff's because we are with Eon Next, paying £280 p.m on their NextFlex variable tariff. My online "offer" based on our useage (we are in credit for now) for the online version - Next Online v18 - increased the monthly price to £488 per month or if we moved to the Next 1 year v18 to an eye watering £628 per month![Deleted User] said:If she does not have an online tariff, she might have been offered the 1Year Direct Debit v18 (Not online) OR 1Year Payment on Receipt of Bill v18.

If the off-line version is more expensive than these, I suspect your mum will not get any better than the variable tariff for now, accepting that the future price caps are going to have an big impact.0
