I'd love a reason to put £50k back in PBs but not holding my breath

The premium bond prize rate isn't directly linked to the BoE base rate, but it is true that the base rate increase on 4 May was followed nearly three weeks later by the announcement of a PB rate boost, so if the same pattern was to apply they'd announce a prize rate increase on 24 August, but they're not under any obligation to do so of course and it's certainly not 'overdue' as such....hallmark said:Raised to 1.4% in May when the base rate was 1.0%.
