Eon Next versus Eon

Was with Eon and they were over estimating the Account for over 6 years they migrated me to Eon Next and I found that the Gas had been over estimated by 900 units which came to approx £2000.00 Now Eon Next will not refund and say it is the responsibility of Eon. Contacted Eon and they say it is the responsibility of Eon Next and will not even discuss the account. Anyone had problems with Eon or Eon Next?

    Does that mean you did not submit meter readings for 6 years?

    Are we talking m3 or ft3 units? 

    How do you get to £2000 they owe you? 900 units are 10080KWh, ft3 are 28500. Going with 4p (which is high over 6 years) a metric meter is £400 for 900 units, a ft3 £1140.

    Just thought the bills were reasonable 
    November 2017 gas was 8959 (estimate) and June 2022 was 8049 (manual) these are figures requested from Eon Next and initially stated a credit Balance of £2179.00 for which I asked for £1500.00 to be refunded and this was at first accepted then they started adjusting figures an giving different quotes none were reasonable and today they have offered a refund of  £750.00 and a deadlock letter to go to the Ombudsman

    Is your meter m3 or ft3, this will be written on the meter.

    If it is m3 I would grab the £750, there was never £2000 they owed you. Most likely they reversed all bills and the credit balance was for your payments, before billing you.
  • Now it is all wrong!!!!! Eon Next is saying that the meter they have on record is not the one that I have sent pictures off. 
    I have done some investigation and found that the Meter was changed on 26th September 2018 at the same time that the meter was moved outside when a new Gas pipe was put in. 
    So now the payment has once again been refused, WHY WHY WHY wasn't this noticed when I sent the first photo??? 
    What should I do now?

    Near your new meter there should be a card or sticker showing the date meter was changed, and the closing reading on the old meter.
    Send them this info together with a current reading on the new meter. Ask them to recalculate your bill.
