What would be the price of a reasonable kitchen including fitting (Basic U Shape)

Looking at matt white or light grey handleless with a man made kitchen top. Is 5k about right? The only extras would be fitting new sink/dishwasher with some base lights. Approx 9 units on the base and around the same for the top half of the kitchen. Does this include tiling the mid region? Any recommendations?!

I think with labour (inc gas fitter, electrician and plumber) you are probably looking at a bit more. Don't forget flooring will cost extra to install as well.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.1 -
Thanks. £7.5k? I was going to do all flooring in one go in a year or two. Open plan wood flooring at the min.0

Nine base units - Sounds like a small kitchen - Some dimensioned floor plans would help.I have a small(ish) kitchen here - 3.4m by 2.4m - Decided not to have any wall units, and the space looks deceptively large. Not having masses of storage discourages hoarding and collecting useless tat. Although I could have fitted a corner base unit and extend along one wall, the idea of a corner unit was rejected out of hand - Another dark abyss to hide yet more kitchen tat.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -
Its literally 3 units per side to create a U Shape0

If it helps I recently installed my daughters kitchen.
Eight units from B&Q was 3.5k, that included approx 1.1k of appliances, so I think from what you're saying that you're pretty much doubling this up and adding an extra base and top unit so think you can certainly get the actual kitchen for 5k, all depends on the quality you're after, you can buy cheaper or more expensive.
At the same time we were also quoted 4k to install it (!) from B&Q with a wait time for the work of five months, hence with the help of this forum I did it myself. Am sure you could probably find a local tradesperson to install it for you but wait times for decent tradespeople are quite long.
Tiling wouldn't normally be quoted, though as I discovered it is possible to do yourself, as long as you have the right tools.
