Help with choosing new electricity supplier
Hi, we’ve recently moved to a new home and have to choose a new electricity supplier. How do I find out my options for who is cheapest at the moment please? Ideally I’d like to compare price of fixing vs. Just going with the current cheapest but initially would just be nice to know who is currently cheapest please? Money is tight so don’t want to pay over the odds please. Thank you very much for your help in advance.

You really have a very limited choice at the moment.
Have you already contacted the existing supplier, given them meter readings and opted for the SVT ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
First thing, have you provided your readings on moving in to the existing supplier(s)?
Unfortunately, you are unlikely to find many other suppliers willing to take switchers currently - & those that will usually will do so only on fixes that look to be more expensive than what is expected to be the October SVT pricing.
On SVT they will all work out pretty much the same price.1 -
When you move into a new home you are automatically on a deemed tariff with whoever last supplied the house.
You take meter readings and contact the supplier to open an account. Only take a SVT, don't let them talk you into a fixed tariff.
Have you done that?
Once you registered with the current supplier you can look into switching. Bad news, there is no cheapest for the SVT - they are all the same, and almost nobody will accept you as a new customer. Exceptions are potentially Octopus and EDF, if you (repeatedly) call them until you get lucky.
Fixed tariffs is also almost nothing, and they are expensive. Read up here

Hi, I have not already contacted existed supplier no0

Do that, and you are then free to switch if you can find any supplier that will accept you. If you intend to stay on the Ofgem Cap then all suppliers are much the same when it comes to price.0

That is the first thing you need to do when you move in. When you switched on the light bulb you entered into a contract with the last supplier.
Didi you take meter readings and maybe best take photos of the meter?
How long have you been in the house? How long was it empty before you moved in?
