Internal Doors – Acclimatisation?

Options
Hi all,

Going to be ordering some (cheap) internal doors from Wickes soon

https://www.wickes.co.uk/Wickes-Geneva-White-Grained-Moulded-Cottage-Internal-Door/p/9000218647

When they arrive, do they need acclimatising prior to notching out and hanging?

And if so, what's the best way to store them, and in what conditions? Thinking about the mental heat waves we're having lately, and this week.

Thanks!

If you are concerned about them having dried out due to the long dry period most of us have had, you could store them in a unventilated room with a dryer of damp laundry for a few days or until ready to fit.
I know this is not normally good advice to dry laundry in a unvented room but at this time of year and for a short period it should be ok.

In hindsight, think I'm overthinking this one! They're not even real wood – they're just regular core doors.

Think I'll just lay them on the floor and put some battens between them to allow for airflow, while I go about hanging them.
  • Flat on the floor I’ve just recently hung some wickes doors and was impressed with the quality!
Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'

Flat on the floor? Not on battens to raise off the ground?

What if you’ve got 6 doors (like me), and not enough floor space?  :)
  • Either, you can stack them if your pushed for room they will be wrapped in plastic or cardboard so you don’t have to worry about airflow.
    Nice looking door!

6 doors on top of each other only takes up the same floor area.
